Rogue Burlesque offers classes for the public as well as private classes:
Sassy, Classy, and Brassy: Burlesque for Beginners!
Saturday, May 12, 1pm – 4pm
Register through the Boston Center for Adult Education
Learn the art of the striptease from the ladies of Rogue Burlesque! We’ll show you to bump, grind, shimmy—and even twirl tassels! Whether you’re interested in performing on stage or in the boudoir, this class will teach you all the essential moves. You’ll learn how to set the mood with music and character; how to shake your stuff with burlesque attitude; how to highlight your assets; and how to put the “tease” back in striptease. You’ll come out with an “a-peeling” striptease of your own, as well as a pair of tasseled pasties and a CD of songs to get you in the mood. Please wear an outfit in which you feel sexy–something you’d like to remove. (You don’t have to, though; the class does not require nudity!) This class is designed specifically for women and female-identified individuals.
Burlesque Fabulousness: Taking Yourself to the Next Level!

After taking an introductory class, many burlesque students can’t wait to create their own acts. Eager to perform even once, they don’t know where to start. In this class, you’ll learn how to get ready for an audience, whether it’s of one or many! You’ll name your alter ego, transform daily life into sexy and hilarious routines, hear stories in music, and manipulate fascinating objects. You’ll learn glamour makeup, including burlesque staples such as glitter lips. Finally, you’ll learn how to get onstage and shimmy like a goddess — whether you’re oozing with confidence or wondering what the heck you’ve gotten yourself into! Please bring a song that ignites your inner vixen/superhero/spy/comedian, and two props you’d like to work with. (This class does NOT require clothing removal.) Please note, this class is designed specifically for women and female-identified individuals.
